The Best General, Episode 9: The Paradox Of Theseus’ Ship

Thanks Max for asking me to take advantage of your platform to talk 40K and to share my journey. (READ AS: Take over Mismatched Play as part one in my mission to take over the world [twiddle fingers menacingly]).

Now that I’ve gotten the 40K blog obligatory sorry attempt at sarcastic humor out of the way, if y’all haven’t had the chance to tune in to my new show, I would love to have you as a listener.

The show is unique so far as 40K podcasts go. I stay away from new releases, rumors and leaks for the most part. Everyone else is doing that already and better than I can. I’m looking at you Carl Tuttle.  Some people have called The Best General, the “This American Life of 40K.” A recent review went so far as to say, “If you want to know what NPR’s Ira Glass would sound like trapped on Mars growing potatoes and Podcasting his progress toward 40K greatness then check this out. It’s a real, unassuming, and candid look at a person and his growth in the hobby.”

It’s been a fun journey so far and I have a lot of new ideas brewing so I hope you join me on my quest to become The Best General. Since this episode is all about list design (as well as rehashing being a big drunk baby at Warzone: Atlanta)  and developing my approach on how to handle the rapid release schedule of 8th, I figured I’d share it with you here. I lost quite a few units and a ton of Reinforcement Points due to the point changes post-Chapter Approved. The big question is, can it still work? Check out the list and the show and let me know what you think!

Best, Adam
